About
Twelve years as the accountant in the room. The numbers were never the hard part. The process was.
Abu Dhabi since 2013: revenue audit, general accounting, an accounting section reporting to a CEO, then ten years on municipal projects with Parsons and Dorsch, around AED 300 million of them.
Tired of waiting for reports, I learned to build them: Power Platform first, then real code at 42 Abu Dhabi.
I am one person, not an agency. One senior person who runs the workshop, sets up the accounting, writes the code and trains the team, with no handovers in between.
Timeline
Abu Dhabi throughout.Thirty projects, AED 300 million, 150+ client accounts. Automated financial reporting built on Power Apps; invoicing automation; cash-flow forecasting through data analytics.
Peer-to-peer, project-based engineering school. C and C++, algorithms, systems, web. Where the second career started properly.
Built and maintained the project financial tracking database. Wrote payment processing procedures. Advised section and unit heads on contract variations and new items.
Reported to the CEO and chairman. Implemented a new ERP system and trained staff on it; removed 25 hours of manual processing a month.
Where it began — and where I learned what a control actually is before I ever automated one.
Toolkit
What I actually use on engagements.DocTypes, server scripts, custom apps, reports and print formats, permissions, migrations, bench administration.
The Frappe stack end to end, plus C and C++ from 42. TypeScript and HTML/CSS on the front end.
Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query, SharePoint — and advanced Excel, still the language every finance team speaks.
Oracle, QuickBooks, project cost control, budgeting and forecasting, audit preparedness, UAE VAT context.
